Fans of Freedom: Feast your feverish eyes on the freshly-updated Freedom Force Fan Page!
By the way---we're totally aware that this posting announces and describes the website you are already visiting when you read it! This is because all our "This Week At Irrational" stories are cross-posted to both the Irrational Games website and the Freedom Fans page.
Fans of Freedom Force will be happy to know that there is a
brand-spanking new Freedom Force
Web Site which (if we do say so ourselves) rocks! The new site
includes information on the original Freedom Force, as well as the
soon to be released Freedom Force vs. The Third
Reich.
Fans can check out frequently updated links to news stories, learn
about features in the new game, and view screenshots. The site is also
a great place to learn about the characters in the Freedom Force
universe. You can check out the new heroes and villains and re-visit
your favorites from the original so you are fully prepared when
Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich comes out!
Freedomfans.com also
includes a link to ModForce, an online source to help fans alter
Freedom Force and Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich to
suit their needs. ModForce includes guides to modding (duh!),
character models and a downloadable editing tool.
If you want to chat with other fans I suggest the Forum section of the
site. This is a great place to read official IG announcements, give
feedback to Irrational, look for new skins and meshes and check out
fan art and fiction. I love Glitch
Girl's rendition of The Bullet.
The forum is also the best place to go to set up multiplayer games.
So in conclusion, I think (as a completely biased quasi-member of the
Irrational community) that you should check out Freedomfans.com
Plus, as far as I know, it's the only place in the world you can go
to read three pages of speculation about Minuteman's (ahem) sentient
staff...
